We currently have several openings for full-time Customer Service Representatives, Enrollment Specialists, and COB Verification Processors to join our growing team and are hoping that you can join us at our recruitment event on Monday, August 14.

As part of our JD Power Certified Member Services department, the Customer Service Representative acts as an advocate for UPMC Health Plan customers (member, provider, facilities, etc.) by providing guidance, interpretation, and education on benefit coverage levels, claims payment, and various program inquires. The customer service representatives are required to work an 11:00AM to 7:00PM or 12:00PM to 8:00PM, Monday through Friday schedule depending on assignment. There is a rotating Saturday requirement as well.  There will also be a six-week training course with the required hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

 

The Enrollment Specialist and COB Verification Processors assist with the creation and maintenance of member eligibility in the transactional system, responding to both internal and external customer inquiries, and resolving issues to meet or exceed service requirements. To successfully perform the role, candidatesmust have a comprehensive understanding of enrollment regulations and complete all duties with strict regard to policies and procedures.  Additionally, this role performs duties related to the processing and maintenance of all member requested transactions, include generation of required letters to ensure enrollment and/or disenrollment processes are completed compliantly. These positions will need to work occasional weekends and holidays along with overtime per business need.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required (college degree preferred). 
  • Minimum of six months of customer service and/or call center experience required. 
  • Proficiency in typing preferred. 
  • Ability to make independent decisions. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet program preferred. 
  • Basic analytical skills necessary to evaluate customer inquiries. 
  • Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills.

Salary Range: $14.11 to $22.19
