Description

Purpose:

 

Working with eRecords in relations to medication projects and intiatives. Team is both pharmacists and analayst working on Cerner application.  The ideal candidate will have experience with project management, Cerner, and leading a team.


The Manager provides leadership to the day to day operation, support, development, installation, and delivery of technology products and services within the department or business unit. The Manager is further responsible for the identification and development of talent and for managing performance to ensure business goals and objectives are met, if not exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • Budget - Provides input on budget planning. Responsible for managing to budget.
  • Business Unit Operations - Managers and Directors
  • Complexity - Manages a technology operations team.
  • Operations (Technical) - Manages a single team function of individual contributors or leads resources.
  • People - Manages direct reports including performance evaluations, coaches and mentors direct reports.
  • Vendor/Partner - Relevant vendor relationship management. Escalates vendor issues to next level of management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required with a masters degree preferred, and at least five years of additional successive experience in a technology field in a multi-faceted user environment, with at least two years experience in a senior or lead capacity, OR Nine years of total related experience, including five years of successive experience in a technology field in a multi-faceted user environment, with at least two years experience in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Ability to make decisions or recommendations based on various types and amounts of information.
  • Strong project management, problem solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Strong understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives.
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle.
  • Ability to successfully lead projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Ability to apply extensive experience to highly complex problems.

Preferences:

  • Experience working with EHR/EMR systems (Cerner Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and exercise sound decision making
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, train and evaluate employee performance looking for areas of opportunity in which to enhance employee and team
  • Capability to prioritize multiple projects and efforts in a dynamic fast paced environment

Salary Range: $38.78 to $63.06
