UPMC Canterbury Place is Pittsburgh's first senior community; Located in Lawrenceville is an assisted living and skilled nursing facility. 

BONUS! Anyone hired into a full-time role that has a Current Pennsylvania C.N.A certification, will receive a $1,500.00 sign on bonus, upon signing a one year employment agreement with UPMC. Details on the bonus would be given at the time of an offer, if chosen. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient care skill as directed by the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in a safe manner according to policy and procedure. 

  • Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient needs.

  • Assist with food distribution and feeding residents. 

  • Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, hair care, and dressing. 

  • Assist in transferring residents. 

  • Document in the medical record according to established procedures.

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • Successful completion of nursing assistant training program. 

  • Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques. 

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.


Licensure/Certifications: 

  • Current PA Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required 

  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is also required within 30 days of beginning employment

 

Salary Range: $13.59 to $19.97
