UPMC has an opportunity for a part-time Linen/Laundry Attendant to join our team at UPMC Cranberry Place, located in Cranberry Township, Pa. The candidate will work variable days, every other weekend and every other holiday. The shift for this position is 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

 

Purpose:
Under general supervision of C.S.S.D. Supervisor distributes clean linens to user areas throughout the hospital. Maintains records of the amount of linen sent and returned by each user area. Processes soiled linen as required. Unload vendor linen trucks when they arrive daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend department meetings, maintains awareness of Hospital and Department policies/procedures.
  • Complete all assigned supplemental requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding security of hospital property, locked areas, time cards and dress code.
  • Conform to attendance policies as established by UPMC systemwide policies and department policies
  • Ensure that she/he conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Prepare and distributes a variety of clean linen to user areas on a daily basis and records all linen sent to a user area with 100% accuracy.
  • Process soiled linen according to procedures.
  • Restock scrub vending machines.
  • Unload linen delivery trucks.
  • Wear hospital identification at all times.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED or one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Older Adult Protective Services Act
