This Registered Nurse will develop and implement a system of administering and monitoring psychiatric medications and services. This will be done in a manner consistent with efficiency, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

This RN will work full time three days in the adult building and two days within our children’s building with limited travel.  

  • Conduct educational programs as requested.
  • Demonstrate support of Agency mission and philosophy in delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement a system of administering and monitoring psychiatric medications to partial hospitalization clients. Conduct regular medication evaluation sessions with psychiatrists, including scheduling client appointments. Evaluate the effectiveness and side effects of medications and report to psychiatrist. Record in client's record the medication, dosage, frequency, changes and observations on the effectiveness and side effects.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic groups and activities for the partial hospitalization client. Prepare, organize and conduct groups and client activities in accordance with program policies and procedures. Organize and conduct group medication management sessions. Initiate a plan of care for each client in a group setting. Record daily service notes and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Develop individual client treatment plans in conjunction with peer group, case managers and supervisor to assure commonality in goals of service. Conduct ongoing assessments of client functioning. Function as a member of the clinical team responsible for admission, evaluation, re-certification and discharge of clients. Report any change in client's condition or change in status of program activities to supervisor.
  • Function as liaison between clients and community organizations. Mobilize community resources in planning and conducting client groups/activities. Participate in conferences with client families and other treatment professionals as requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain and protect patient, client and Agency confidentiality.
  • Operate program equipment as needed for groups.
  • Participate in educational programs, quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote personal and co-worker safety during work duties.
  • Represent and participate in Agency professional and community activities as requested.
  • Work to achieve and maintain quality and customer satisfaction in the delivery of services to internal/external customers.


  • Graduate of a diploma school of Nursing accredited by NLN required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred. Minimum of two years related work experience. 
  • Competency in computer skills in a Windows based environment. 
  •  Access to transportation in the Agency service area with valid Pennsylvania drivers license and auto liability insurance.  
  • Registered, certified or licensed as required by state law for the profession.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Automotive Insurance
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Driver's License
