Purpose:
UPMC Health Plan is seeking an experienced web strategist with content and technical expertise to assist in managing several public website properties. This role is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the infrastructure, hardware and software utilized for all public web site properties. The role will proactively manage UPMC Health Plan | UPMC Insurance Services Division online presence to improve the usability, brand positioning, marketing and overall business objectives. Manage the evolution and maintenance of the organization's web properties (e.g. web sites, microsite, landing pages) through conducting user testing and analytics. This role will monitor web traffic, performance and capacity to identify, prevent and resolve issues. This role will interface with marketing colleagues and IT team members to ensure goal-oriented best in class practices are met and to devise new innovative web solutions to meet the business needs of the enterprise.. This role is responsible for the maintenance of existing web properties, plus the creation and implementation of new pages and sites as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise a/b testing strategies to ensure cohesive user experience that delivers on company and marketing objectives
  • Advise best practices in page layout, content and functionality by audience and page goal
  • Collaborate with IT, Consumer Innovation, and marketing teams to QA new development
  • Continually evaluate and optimize public web properties to enhance user experience and predetermined KPIs by site / page
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure projects are prioritized by impact and delivered on time.
  • Develop, maintain, effectively communicate, the web production schedule from a marketing perspective
  • Ensure all tracking pixels are properly coded and remain on site
  • Ensure pages are fast, indexable, and achieving their predetermined goals on an audience-by-audience basis
  • Ensure timely production of web updates and new launches
  • Execute public site strategies and roadmaps
  • Maintain and effectively communicate production schedule with managers.
  • Maintain sitemaps
  • Manage all public website projects for every line of business with the support of direct reports and in-house creative teams
  • Operate in high-pressure situations and manage multiple projects while continuing to complete projects on time with a fast turnaround.
  • Participate in regular meetings with Health Plan Marketing teams to assess web strategy needs and content updates
  • Suggest new technologies and implementation styles as needed
  • Under Senior Manager's supervision, contribute to the digital marketing and communication process to maintain and add to overall awareness of UPMC Insurance Service Division value propositions, boost online presence, and help manage ecommerce sites for all lines of business.
  • Work closely with IT counterparts to ensure projects are meeting deadlines and technical requirements
  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance with all public site content and functionality
  • Work with Analytics to clearly understand site performance, analyze trends, business results and use this data to develop new actions to improve results.

Qualifications

  • Five to ten years of web administration or development experience.
  • Experience in usability testing and analytics. 
  • Proven ability to lead and manage self, team members and projects.
  • Have a strong understanding of responsive front-end development.
  • Experience with web testing tools (e.g. Optimizely).
  • Proficient with website analytics tools Content management system experience.
  • Working knowledge of coding environments such as html and aspx. 
  • Experience in information architecture and sitemap strategy.  
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, time management, decision making, presentation, organization and problem solving skills. 
  • Experience with A/B testing.
  • Experience with SEO, quality assurance, and web accessibility Ecommerce background a plus.
  • Experience with advanced digital tracking a plus VSTS and Workfront project management tool experience a plus.
  • Must be able to prioritize, be a self starter and take on required responsibility and tasks as needed.  
  • Project management skills Technical knowledge such as ASPX development, CMS management, W3C web standards, Sections 508 and 504 compliance and Adobe Photoshop a plus.
