Responsible for the most complex accounting and analytical activities associated with maintaining general ledger accounts and developing and/or improving existing financial statements and reports for system-wide finance executives. Responsible for preparing/reviewing annual budgets and regular forecasts/projections for the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team.

  • Creates complex accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Develops administrative tasks, special projects and training programs as assigned. Acts a liaison for the department in meetings with management.
  • Develops analyses and reports to support system-wide finance executives. Prepares detailed analyses for annual audit.
  • Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions
  • Prepares and posts complex monthly journal entries.
  • Prepares general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Proposes correcting entries.
  • Prepares reconciliation of actual to budget variance analysis.
  • Responsible for managing and mentoring department's Finance Management Rotation (FMR) program participant
  • Review proposed contracts and business transactions for financial risk and proper accounting treatment.
  • Trains, supervises and manages the performance of personnel including the establishment of performance standards, objectives and annual reviews, which must be completed in a timely manner. Will formally supervise a minimum of 2.0 FTE's.


  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related business field required.
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience required.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience leading/supervising staff preferred. 
  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Salary Range: $25.86 to $43.57
