Job Summary:
The eBenefits Account Sales Representative coordinates sales and marketing endeavors in pursuit of new eBenefits contracts, implements new accounts, and manages account activity during the contract period of assigned accounts. Activities include, but are not limited to, affiliate recruitment, coordination of promotional strategies, and oral and written communication with key representatives of each account. 



Responsibilities:
  • Support eBenefits' projected annual growth through lead generation, qualifying leads, managing the sales process, and closing new contracts. This will involve cold-calling, traveling to meet with prospects, consultants, vendors and insurance carriers, attendance and participation in various conferences, presentations to both large and small groups at all levels of management to successfully generate new opportunities for eBenefits,

  • Facilitate smooth transition following the signing of new contracts by educating all staff about the company/organization and personal introduction of the Account Representative assigned to the designated company/organization contact in an introductory/transition meeting.

  • Ensure that the contracting process is satisfied and act as the lead in bringing all contractual matters to a close, including the hand-off to the Account Management team for ongoing administration, billing establishment, etc.

  • Responsible for the renewal process for all accounts that have been sold.

  • Serve as a role model of Service Excellence for the institution by providing quality employee assistance services that are responsive to client needs, proactive in scope, and accessible in nature.  Using the Basics of Service Excellence as a guide, respond to the needs of individual staff members and departments of all organizations, with courtesy, respect, and a positive outlook that reflects the team effort of the department and the positive reputation of EBS.

  • Coordinate account implementation activities for new or existing accounts. Implementation activities include but are not limited to coordinating EBS orientations and training, developing annual promotional plan and promotional strategies, and orienting EBS staff to organizational culture.

  • Assist in the recruitment of network affiliates to serve EAP accounts.

  • Develop annual written promotional plans for assigned accounts that are tied to utilization goals. Plans are to include training and employee seminars, distribution of written promotional materials, and regular meetings with account liaison.

  • Coordinate training and employee seminars for assigned accounts, assuring appropriate scheduling.  Assure that logistical matters including scheduling, announcements, written handouts, and training evaluation forms, are completed.

  • Coordinate the implementation of evaluation mechanisms for EBS services (including client, supervisor and account satisfaction surveys) and provide feedback on the results to account liaison.  Assist in coordinating and providing information for EBS cost benefit analyses or other formal evaluation processes, at the organization's request.

  • Assure that logistical matters including scheduling, announcements, written handouts, and training evaluation forms, are completed.

  • Develop annual written promotional plans for assigned accounts that are tied to utilization goals.

  • Plans are to include training and employee seminars, distribution of written promotional materials, and regular meetings with account liaison.

  • Prepare and coordinate information for contract renewals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or a related field is required. 
  • Knowledge of employee benefit plans and plan design is required. 
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an outside sales role is also required. 
  • Software sales experience considered a plus. 
  • Travel Required.
