Description

Purpose:
Provide proactive strategic and operating leadership for all aspects of the operations of the medical transportation/emergency medical system. Responsible for the on-going focus and achievement of EMS financial objectives and strategy. Carries out the policies and programs of EMS and provides continuity and financial stability for the management and future of EMS. Assist in the development and implementation of new business strategies. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the division.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrator for on call rotation.
  • Attend meetings with facilities or management when requested.
  • Coordinates daily management activities with Field Operations Manager.
  • Coordinates with Field Operations management for reports, PTO stipends, EOS forms, expense reports MDDS
  • Daily crew interactions/rig checks/team building.
  • Day to day management oversight of transport volumes, facilities, divisions, crews and trend analysis.
  • In service education: fit testing, EZIO, IV pumps, vehicles.
  • Inventory control: equipment/supplies and quality control.
  • Liaison with community outreach coordinator.
  • Monitors staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Morning assessment of system status including staff and vehicles. Continued monitoring throughout the day.
  • Provides weekly reporting to Field Operations Manager.
  • Review all ECI/EOS/unique staffing issues.
  • Station duties: Rig checks, preceptor oversight, station clean and orderly.
  • Vendor relations: vehicles, snowplowing, repair and maintenance.
  • Works with system status management in staffing deployment.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of NYS and PA EMS rules, regulations and laws required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • AEMT-CC or EMT-P
  • ACLS BTLS or PHTLS
  • PALS
  • Valid Driver's license
