Description

Ensure the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the Environmental Services Department. Work with and coordinate assigned Environmental Services Aides.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the interviewing process of new hires for vacant housekeeping/server positions.
  • Clean all assigned areas, including resident's apartments, public areas, toilets, dusting, vacuuming, and restrooms, following established procedures
  • Clean all assigned resident's and manager's apartments according to the cleaning schedule and the Housekeeping Procedures Manual.
  • Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments.
  • Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the facility manager or administrator.
  • Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
  • Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair.
  • Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all resident's rooms according to the Senior Communities housekeeping manual.
  • Perform deep cleans of resident apartments per established schedule
  • Provide supervision and training to the housekeeping /server staff.
  • Report problems and suggestions to the shift facility manager or administrator
  • Report to the kitchen in serving uniform at designated time for each meal. Serve meals according to the Food Service Guidelines Manual. Bus tables, removing all place settings, and sanitize tables and chairs after meals. Deliver trays to residents' rooms when necessary
  • Responsible for laundering resident's linens and facility uniforms and rags on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the ordering and maintaining of housekeeping supplies.
  • Serve meals according to Food Service Guidelines manual.

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED preferred 2 years relevant experience required

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Older Adult Protective Services Act
