UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Service Representative to help support the Pharmacy Services Department at its downtown Pittsburgh location. The hours for this position are standard daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with a Saturday rotation. The Pharmacy Service Representative will provide customer service support, in a call center environment, to UPMC Health Plan's Department of Pharmacy Services. This role will also interact with physicians, pharmacists, and members to obtain information pertinent to the decision-making process, explaining Health Plan sponsored benefits, and assisting with pharmacy claims processing functions. The scope of the information is primarily clinical and pharmacological in nature.
Responsibilities:
Accurately complete required documentation per department guidelines.
Follow-up on inquires from UPMC Health Plan customers (physicians, members or pharmacists).
Handle all duties with the highest level of confidentiality.
Maintain current knowledge of all Health Plan and departmental polices and procedures.
Respond to customer (physicians, members or pharmacists) requests and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pharmacy technician training preferred.
Customer service and/or call center experience required.
Basic knowledge of health care/managed care concepts.
Good verbal and communication skills; including telephone skills.
Proficiency in typing required.
Ability to use Microsoft Windows based PC and multi-line telephone.
Salary Range:
$14.53
to
$22.86
