Description

Purpose:

The shift for this position would be from 7:00a.m.-3:00p.m. 

The location would be a cross between Williamsport and Devine Susquehanna hospitals. 

Supervises the day to day anesthesia activities on assigned campus. Assists assisting the manager in meeting all the regulatory needs of the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the equipment acquisition and ordering process.
  • Develops and carries out an anesthetic care plan under the direction of the responsible attending anesthesiologist, including selection and implementation of appropriate monitors, drugs, fluids and anesthetic techniques.
  • Develops and reviews policies relevant to Anesthesia Department.
  • Manages the anesthesia environment of care, ensuring a proper QA and safety of anesthesia machine, anesthesia work cart and equipment.
  • Manages the daily operations of Perioperative Services in collaboration with the charge anesthesiologist and Operating Room supervisor/manager.
  • Provides continuous vigilant observation of patients under the CRNA's care, correcting abnormal patient responses and seeking any necessary consultation from the responsible attending anesthesiologist.
  • Provides educations offerings to staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Nursing Required 
  • Masters Nurse Anesthesia Preferred If no Masters Degree, must have twenty years of experience in Nurse Anesthesia. 
  • 5 Years of Experience Required

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Registered Nurse Licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nurse Anesthesia License through NBCRNA

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Basic Life Support
  • Certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
  • Registered Nurse
