The Senior Manager, Digital Health Partnership & Performance will be responsible for establishing the performance roadmap for current and future digital health partners. Key responsibilities include: involvement in Strategic Initiatives, RFI/RFP, business case and cost benefit analysis; matrix management of internal partners; on-boarding and maintaining a portfolio of external vendors/suppliers and strategic partnerships and associated contract (MSA, SOW, Delegation and Provider agreement) development; creating and monitoring associated SLAs and KPIs, and regulatory, compliance and financial oversight in conjunction with the respective matrix partners. The goals of this role are to 1) develop better enterprise line of sight into managing multiple aspects of vendor relationships 2) formalize an approach for Consumer Innovation and Business Development through a standard intake process in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing and IT; 3) leverage a consistent stage gate to streamline approval process with stakeholders; and 4) create an environment for reliable resource sharing and streamlined and integrated vendor governance.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts and ideas
  • Ability to think and act independently assume ownership of projects with minimal supervision
  • Assist in the coordination of chargebacks and/or providing full transparency of both internal and external costs to support reviews, evaluation, ROI determination, leadership decision making
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and manage timelines and schedules to provide advance notice and preparation time for engaged parties
  • Demonstrated skills in interacting with multiple staff levels from non-exempt to executive management
  • Develop and document clear roles and responsibilities for parties engaged with each vendor (SME, customer, business owner)
  • Ensure competitiveness of contracts through surveillance of additional market offerings with collaboration of appropriate SMEs/bus owners as part of periodic review
  • Formalize processes for monitoring and evaluation, contract review/renewal guidelines in consultation with internal SMEs, external best practices, and leadership guidance
  • Logical thought process ability to identify all the steps needed to achieve desired objectives
  • Manage projects within the constraint of scope, quality, time and cost to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction.
  • Manage/support contracts applicable to digital health vendors including participating in /driving negotiations, contract development and renewal, and financial reimbursement. Act as an intermediary between UPMC HP and vendors. Document vendor compliance with key contract terms and requirements.
  • Organized and flexible to manage shifting priorities
  • Produce portfolio overviews and scorecards
  • Review vendor invoices, in collaboration with SMEs and business owners as appropriate, to ensure accuracy, compliance with contractual terms, and that desired services were performed.
  • Successfully articulate issues, problems and solutions
  • Understanding of Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and IT Systems

Qualifications

  • BS / BA degree or higher in Finance or Business 
  • Other experience/degree combinations equating to this minimum will be considered.
  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience, with a minimum of five years in a business environment dealing with vendor management, budgets, invoicing, accounting / finance, contract management, process flows and / or strategic planning.
  • History / experience in managing complex projects and working as a team lead with minimal direct supervision 
  • Diplomatic communication skills both listening as well as verbal and written communications 
  • Microsoft office proficiency with advanced Excel capability 
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Industry preferred.
  • Prior direct vendor management responsibility preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a highly matrixed organization preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $38.33 to $66.19
