Description

The Manager Creative Design will perform the administration, organization and secretarial work involved in managing the workflow of all media production generated through the internal design studio in creative services. This position requires management of a team of designers to produce world-class creative assets and marketing campaigns. The Manager Creative Design will continually evaluate and improve upon existing workflows, departmental communications, and represent creative services in Marketing management meetings as necessary. Under the guidance of the Senior Director Creative Strategy, this job will also require the monitoring and continuing development of the many brands under the Integrated Delivery System, including building systems, processes and relationships to help maintain internal brand consistency.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and foster relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Build positive working relationships with co-workers to achieve productivity.
  • Communicate production status to management on regular basis.
  • Coordinate and monitor workflow software to facilitate projects between Authors, Editors, Designers and Print Production.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for advertisement placements as necessary.
  • Develop training documents, standards procedures and production guidelines for staff.
  • Effectively communicate project and campaign goals between internal clients and agency partners.
  • Maintain budget and financial records as needed.
  • Maintain/follow internal systems in order to deliver quality work to the client.
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day account execution within the creative service design studio (timely correspondence, weekly reporting, etc.).
  • Manage design professionals in the delivery of products and services for all channels of media delivery and services, including but not limited to print ads, direct mail, newsletters, brochures, digital correspondence, web design, and all other campaign necessary materials.
  • Meet regularly with Managing Editor to coordinate and plan Creative Service production activities.
  • Monitor and maintain awards submission process.
  • Monitor and manage production schedules for timely delivery.
  • Own external agency relationship as well as media contractual resources (Getty contract, etc.).
  • Prepare and review internal documentations for management and production staffs.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Sr. Director Creative Strategy when needed.
  • Stay current on company projects and branding.
  • Work to establish formal internal creative review process with for Sr. Director Creative Strategy.
  • Work with Managers to coordinate, plan and delegate daily work responsibilities to production staff.

Qualifications

  • Seven to ten years experience in advertising/marketing/communications 
  • Five years supervisory experience in the management of five or more creative professionals.
  • Brand management expertise.
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive management, C-Suite, and to manage creative and technical professionals. 
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills. 
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • B.A. in Marketing or related field.
  • Ability to manage details on many projects and quickly switch between tasks.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, negotiation, and time management skills.

Salary Range: $30.89 to $52.76
