Purpose:
Are you interested in a career in the fast-paced world of healthcare recruitment? If so, you might be a great fit for our team here in Talent Acquisition! As a Talent Acquisition Assistant, you will provide customer service and administrative support for recruitment and employment related tasks. This includes processing advertising requests and tracking expenditures, planning and attending job fairs/ hiring events, scheduling interviews, sourcing, and other duties as needed. Our Talent Acquisition Assistants work with a wide range of internal customers at all levels as well as external candidates seeking opportunities so strong customer services skills are required. 

This position works full-time, daylight hours at the US Steel Tower. There is a potential opportunity for occasional work from home days. 


Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution of Talent Acquisition events.
  • Employee file creation and maintenance.
  • Ensure process compliance in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow-up of all new hire documentation to fulfill the specifications of the federal, state and local governments along with meeting the requirements and standards of the UPMC. Vital information includes I-9, licensure, Act 33/34/73 clearances, social security cards, and visa/residency verifications.
  • Manage invoicing and expenses as appropriate.
  • Responsible for building a culture rooted in Dignity and Respect and for holding team members accountable to the same.
  • Serve as point of contact for general candidate, employee, and customer inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required OR a high school diploma or equivalent with one year of progressively responsible administrative experience required (preferably in a talent acquisition environment);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
