Description

The Research Project Coordinator will provide support for special projects and daily activities for the Emergent Assessment of Suicidal Youth (EASY) Study. EASY is a NIMH-funded study awarded to Dr. Brent (PI) in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  Recruitment for the study will occur at WPIC’s Diagnostic Evaluation Center (DEC).

 

This is a grant funded position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in psychology, sociology, business administration or related area of study.
  • Three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.
  • Enrollment in or completion of master's degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescent and their families is preferred.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 31 Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management
