Description

Regional Health Services, Inc. seeks a Neurological Surgeon to work in Erie, Erie County, PA, Warren, Warren County, PA, and Meadville, Crawford County, PA to perform surgery on the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves to remove tumors, relieve chronic pain, and treat wounds, vascular disorders, and diseases such as Parkinson’s and epilepsy; complete evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients requiring neurosurgical care; perform elective and non-elective neurosurgical procedures, including use of the GAMMA Knife; conduct in-patient hospital rounds; provide on-call coverage for Trauma unit and other emergent patients as needed; and provide clinical care of cancer patients.
 
Job Responsibilities: 
  •  Perform surgery on the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves to remove tumors, relieve chronic pain, and treat wounds, vascular disorders, and diseases such as Parkinson’s and epilepsy
  • Complete evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients requiring neurosurgical care
  • Perform elective and non-elective neurosurgical procedures, including use of the GAMMA Knife
  • Conduct in-patient hospital rounds
  • Provide on-call coverage for Trauma unit and other emergent patients as needed
  • Provide clinical care of cancer patients

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (M.D.) or foreign equivalent
  • Must have completed 6 years of residency training in Neurosurgery or 5 years of residency training in neurosurgery and 1 year of fellowship training in spine surgery
  • Must have valid PA medical license and DEA certificate
