Description


Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects. The Treasury Analyst, Associate will be responsible for performing the monthly accounting function within the Treasury department, explaining variances, and analysis. The Treasury Analyst, Associate has awareness of business, economic and accounting changes and is able to effectively apply such changes to daily tasks. The Treasury Analyst, Associate will have extensive interaction with internal departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Assist in preparation of requisitions for draws from project funds established in connection with debt issuance.
  • Assist with the auditing and SOX process.
  • Assists with preparation of budget items.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Keeps well informed and conversant with general business, economic and other matters, including legislation and accounting issues surrounding their specific area of coverage. Actively seek knowledge both directly and indirectly related to his/her job.
  • Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported.
  • Plan and conduct complex studies to determine cost of business activities. Recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.
  • Prepare monthly debt-related entries (e.g., interest, deferred financing costs, current portion of debt) and reporting.
  • Prepare requisitions for draws from project funds established in connection with debt issuance.
  • Responsible for all debt reporting including preparation of compliance certificates, arbitrage reports and detailed supporting schedules for tax-exempt use of proceeds.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related business field is required.
  • Capable of understanding legal documents and regulations.
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to learn additional software packages required. 
  • Experience must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate competency in managing multiple tasks, organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and have a team and customer orientation.
  • Must be flexible to additional ad hoc tasks as required by senior management.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred but not required.

Salary Range: $18.24 to $30.32
