Description

Purpose:
Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic of (UPMC) is currently recruiting for a full-time Research Project Coordinator. The incumbent will provide project coordination, support, research staff supervision, data entry and administrative functions for the Youth and Family Training Institute’s Evaluation-related grants and contracts. This position is 100% grant funded.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Communicate effectively with research and administrative staff from various providers and contracted entities to maintain efficient communication and consistency regarding data gathering and data entry. 
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for the evaluation department of YFTI. 
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of protocol activities for all participants. 
  • Maintain and utilize a tracking database for High Fidelity Wraparound data and contracted grant data that include participant IDs, interview completion status, interview deadlines, follow-up assessment reminders, withdrawals, payments, etc. 
  • Prepare project-related correspondence including mailing and appointment reminders.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff, including interviewers and data entry staff. 
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research.
  • Timely and accurate collection, entry, and verification of data from various providers and contracted entities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in psychology, sociology, business administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.
  • Extensive proficiency in computer software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)  
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience supervising junior staff preferred.
  • Excellent grammar, written and verbal communication skills preferred. 
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision, and effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Act 33 Child Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance

Salary Range: $19.70 to $32.88
