This position will supervise the daily activities of staff pharmacists and pharmacy assistants in a variety of areas including order entry, IV admixture preparation, purchasing and inventory control, and automated drug dispensing and storage systems. Assist the Manager/Assistant Director to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and JCAHO accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete performance evaluations of appropriate staff members. Initiates disciplinary action and makes recommendations for corrective action and improvement of performance.
  • Ensure achievement of productivity standards, and adherence to regulations and standards of performance and accreditation.
  • Implement projects as assigned by the Manager/Assistant Director.
  • Oversee and maintain expertise in assigned areas of specific responsibility such as human resource policies and procedures, drug procurement, IV admixture preparation, and drug dispensing systems.
  • Participate in the annual review and revision of the Policy and Procedures manual.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy is required. 
  • Three years of operational experience in a pharmacy is required. 
  • Inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
  • At least one year working as a Pharmacist is preferred.
  • Leadership/Management experience is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Pharmacist license is required

Salary Range: $43.60 to $74.06
