COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Across UPMC, our guiding principle is to always prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and members. UPMC believes that vaccination is important, helps protect all, and advocates that everyone who can be vaccinated should be vaccinated.

UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

The Environmental Services (EVS) Team Lead ensures that the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the EVS Department. The EVS Team Lead is already responsible to work with and coordinate assigned Environmental Services Aides.

Responsibilities:

 

  • In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily acts in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor.
  • Reports problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor.
  • Communicates with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments.
  • Ensures that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area.
  • Ensures that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor.
  • Inspects and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
  • Complies with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

 

  • HS Diploma/GED preferred 2 years relevant experience required


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
