Description

We're searching for a talented Recruiter to join our UPMC North Central PA Human Resources Team!  Our Recruiter, Expert opportunity is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday.  A perk of this position flexible work arrangements!

The Recruiter, Expert is responsible for performing comprehensive employment related consultation, recruitment, selection, and related responsibilities to the employment process. These recruitment duties include posting positions, reviewing applications, outreaching to candidates, extending offers of employment, and much more.  The Recruiter, Expert will also serve as a mentor to the Talent Acquisition team.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement either through process improvements or technology solutions. Propose recommendations for implementation.
  • Proactively build and create candidate pipelines; track individuals with these skill sets to network for future opportunities.
  • Function as an internal search firm recruiter by performing specific recruitment searches as necessary.
  • Act as a resource for Talent Acquisition staff and customers by providing guidance and direction for recruitment area of expertise.
  • Develop the appropriate relationships with schools, members of professional organizations and community members that could be referral sources.
  • Develop and initiate the most effective and innovative recruitment sources and initiatives for attracting and retaining the best-qualified candidates.
  • Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
  • Independently lead recruitment projects, providing regular status updates and meeting deadlines; provide direction and leadership to cross functional teams.
  • Research and act as subject expert regarding employment laws and talent acquisition trends.
  • Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and works on special projects as requested.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field and at least four years of recruitment experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and six years of recruitment experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of all federal, state and local laws pertaining to employment.
  • Expert experience designing and implementing models to find applicants for hard to fill positions.
