This position will provide support for UPMC Employee Health's new hire onboarding program by processing candidates in both the out-of-area and onsite clinic programs. This includes a multitude of operational and administrative responsibilities that will improve and enhance the new hire experience, support the recruiting goals set by Talent Acquisition, and assist the Employee Health clinical staff with ensuring new employees have received the proper health screenings, testing, and clearances to begin their employment with UPMC.  The Employee Health Onboarding Support Coordinator will work remotely Monday - Friday daylight hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Review in the database and worklists the correct testing required for the candidate.
  • Enter lab orders into Quest or other lab order entry program the tests to be completed. This includes both clinical and substance abuse testing systems.
  • Manipulate the Quest and/or lab order program the orders and new hire forms into an Adobe Document to be emailed to new hire candidates.
  • Document in EH database OHM, to track and monitor progress throughout new hire process.
  • Monitor candidate status and take defined actions based on progress. Work with EH clinical staff to ensure candidates are actively progressing through the new hire process.
  • Act as a liaison between EH, Talent Acquisition (TA) and the new hire candidate to ensure timely completion of the necessary components prior to start.
  • Follow up with new hire candidates for any outstanding documents as needed. Upload any supporting new hire materials and adjust EH database to ensure all requirements are met for final clearance.
  • Collaborate and communicate with various parties (Employee Health, Candidate, Accommodation Team, Quest and/or lab, Talent Acquisition, etc.) on requests, issues and/or questions in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a business environment required.
  • One year in health care environment highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously including different computer systems and data entry portals.
  • Strong computer skills required with competence in Adobe and MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word) preferred.
