Description
Associate will assist with the development of market insights leading to business plan proposals and implementation of new products. The associate will also be expected to participate in various workgroups and product innovation initiatives, and work as a cross-functional member of the Product team.
This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two at home.
Responsibilities:
- Remain current on all departmental policies and procedures.
- Work with a variety of functional areas within the organization to assist in the creation and implementation of new products.
- Evaluate product performance reports to identify issues and/or trends, and offer product enhancement ideas
- Assist Product Innovation team with development of business plans, reports, and other collateral.
- Actively participate in development and deployment of product implementation plans.
- Follow up on all responsibilities in a timely manner or as set forth by established turnaround times. Communicate accordingly when timeframes are outside reasonable expectations.
- Participate positively in various workgroups by offering valuable input, taking action on relevant items, and coordinating between departments as requested by leadership.
- Assist/take lead in development and presentation of training materials.
- Perform market research via trade publications, internet, professional organizations and external contacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, prefer Business, Health Management or related field or relevant experience.
- 2 years experience in health care insurance and/or industry required.
- Knowledge of Commercial Insurance products preferred.
- Experience in product development a plus, but not required.
- Good project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong computer skills required, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word and Internet Explorer.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels and all departments. Positive, professional attitude and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no direction from leadership. Preferred/Desired:
- Knowledge of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)
- Presentation and public speaking skills/experience.
- Consumer products marketing and/or sales experience
