UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full-time Development Associate to support the 3001 - 3001 Magee Health Foundation department!
This position will work Monday – Friday. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
The Development Associate coordinates all gift processing, prospect research and programs that relate to grateful patient fundraising.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage special projects and fundraising initiatives as appropriate/required.
- Analyze data from wealth screenings and assign to appropriate gifts officer.
- Manage patient screenings for potential appeal mailings.
- Maintain the donor database including moves management and action tracks. Generate reports on fundraising to ensure consistent data collection that reflects relationship and gift proposal activity, stages, and engagement.
- Ensure integrity of the data for accuracy and reporting.
- Process of all charitable donations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, liberal arts, journalism, business, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in development, communications, business, data management or related field.
- Experience with development and/or fundraising in a health care, education or community non-profit setting preferred.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with many different constituencies such as donors, volunteers, trustees, and staff.
- Ability to present a professional image of the hospital and articulate mission and values of the hospital.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to fulfill goals of the department.
- High level of enthusiasm, initiative, motivation, and self-direction.
