COVID-19 Vaccination Information

Across UPMC, our guiding principle is to always prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and members. UPMC believes that vaccination is important, helps protect all, and advocates that everyone who can be vaccinated should be vaccinated.

UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Nursing Assistant Trainee – Lawrenceville

Description

 

Are you passionate about helping others? If so, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) could be for you! As an NA Trainee you will get the training needed to become certified while being compensated and working at our skilled nursing facilities.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct resident care as directed by the nurse including all activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting and ambulating residents
  • Document in the medical record according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment including completing safety checks, keeping unit and resident rooms clean and organized, cleaning equipment, and changing linens
  • Contribute to unit activities including, but not limited to, responding to call lights and telephones timely, passing nourishments and transporting residents.
  • Perform resident weights, vital signs and Intake &Outputs.
  • Provide updates to the nurse regarding residents’ care and changes in resident status
  • Constructively receives feedback and direction. Identify and communicates learning needs to instructor and manager. Participate in self-review and check ins with manager. Establish professional and respectful interpersonal relationships.
  • Strictly adhere to all policies and practices relative to resident care and facility, including standard precautions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Licenses and Certifications:
 

  • CPR from AHA within 30 days of hire
  • Individuals hired into this role must obtain certification within 120 days of hire
  • Act 34 and Older Adult Protective Services Act clearance as needed
