University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full time Quality Nurse Coordinator Int to support their team at UPMC Mercy! This position will work Monday through Friday daylight hours (no weekends of holidays required!) This position will require 5-10% travel due to Oakland for Comprehensive Stroke touchpoints/meetings and collaboration

This position will use measurement and analytic skills to identify areas for improvement, utilizes appropriate computer skills to obtain data, enter data, and develop reporting tools.  Data driven position involving chart abstraction and coding experience is a plus.  Serves as a team leader for the Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Survey.  Assists in data collection and abstraction for various registries, and research including Joint Commission requirements, metrics, and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in excel, driven, hard worker, one who works well both in a team environment as well as independent, advanced project management skills, analyzes data and identifies areas for improvement, leads core measures and other processes alongside the Programmatic Nurse Specialist. Demonstrates expertise in regulatory/state/federal requirements.

  • BS/BSN degree required at time of hire/transfer,
