UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Purpose:
Maintain medical, DME and rental supplies and track all medical equipment in facility.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversees the purchasing, inventory control and storage function of the facility.
  • Follows established performance standards and performs duties according to policies and procedures.
  • Records and tracks all chargeable equipment for end of the month billing.
  • Manages acquisition of DME and rental Equipment.
  • Labels and files all chargeable items.
  • Maintains Par level of medical supplies.
  • Trains employees on the procedures for utilizing supplies and ensuring the proper procedures are followed by staff and management

 

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED. Excellent inventory skills required. Knowledge of personal computers, along with spreadsheet packages, is essential. Self-motivated, organized, and mechanically inclined.Physical activities essential to satisfactory performance in this position involve: balancing, climbing, crouching, fingering, grasping, kneeling, lifting 35 to 50 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive movement, standing and stooping.Exposed to: inside environmental conditions, extreme cold temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of 1/2 hours or less, physical hazards and chemical hazards.Knowledge of computers, including the inventory control software package and excel spreadsheets for reporting.
