Description
This position is for a shift supervisor who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the shift and will directly report to program director. The Crisis Clinician II will play an integral role in the 24/7 program assisting with individuals experiencing a crisis by providing support, referrals to appropriate services and creating a supportive team/working environment.
Under the direction of the Crisis Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting in the consumer service and clinical services. Primary responsibility is responding to mobile crisis calls from community professionals and persons. This includes, but is not limited to, answering questions, obtaining clinical information, and scheduling outpatient evaluations, responding to telephone crisis, and documentation.
This will be an eveneing shift from 2:00 P.M.-12:00 A.M. 4 Days per Week.

- 2-year work commitment--$3,500

Responsibilities:
- Participate in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and in orientation for new crisis clinicians.
- Provide insight & knowledge of insurance programs, processes and able to obtain authorizations as needed.
- Meet standards for documentation and completes all required paperwork.
- Provide follow-up services to consumers by phone and/or mobile visits.
- Utilize specific techniques of motivational interviewing.
- Assist consumer in developing a crisis plan.
- Support consumer and negotiates appropriate referral services.
- Provide supportive counseling to consumers to promote stability.
- Manage crisis situations effectively using positive approaches.
- Work efficiently and independently in crisis setting.
- Complete consumer/family crisis assessments (face to face and telephone).
- Provide crisis services in a community and/or office setting.
- Responsible for insuring quality services by tracking follow-up sessions.
- Serve as lead clinician and is responsible for overseeing daily team functions.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with three years clinical experience with one year crisis experience.
- OR Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with two-year clinical experience (other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience.).
EXPERIENCE:
- Work history that includes phone triage, as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments.
- Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy preferred.
- Experience and background in mental health, addictions, or criminal justice.
- Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations
CERTIFICATION:
- Licensure in social work or professional counseling is preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CLEARANCES:
- ASIST within 1 year, CCMC within 60 days
- Appl Suicide Intrvn Skls TrnAct 126 Child Abuse Reporting OR Act 31 Clearance (Must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer)
- Applied suicide intervention skills training:
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
- Driver's License
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
