Description
Purpose:
Provide for the continuing operations of the front desk under the direct supervision of the Front Desk Supervisor and/or Administrator. Initiate point of contact to people calling or visiting the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model for service excellence toward residents, visitors, physicians, and employees; holds subordinates accountable for service behaviors as described in The Basics for Service Excellence, departmental policies and individual job performance standards.
- Perform front desk responsibilities to include handling calls, work order requests, screening building access, physician billing, and completion of medical supply forms, paging of aides to assist resident's needs, paging of all staff members who carry pagers, when needed, to assist resident or emergency needs.
- Provide for being the main communication of a fire disaster and also an internal or external emergency.
- Offer assistance, direction, and/or appropriate information to those in the lobby area.

- Attend and participate in staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Front Desk Supervisor.
Qualifications
Completion of High school diploma or equivalent. Prior receptionist experience preferred.
