UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Located in Franklin, PA, Sugar Creek Station is a senior living community specializing in rehab and memory care. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents by promoting health and personal independence. Join our team in serving our residents today!

This would be a predominantly day shift position, however, shifts may vary based on staffing needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate professional behaviors and UPMC values including representing nursing leadership in off-hours, managing emergencies, customer service, employee relations, and ensuring staffing coverage.
  • Assist the nursing team in providing resident care including professional nursing skills/judgment and other duties as assigned by leadership
  • Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed/requested, promoting regulatory compliance and survey readiness at all times.
  • Ensure the safety of residents, customers, and facility through awareness and application of policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required1 year of progressive leadership experience required (e.g., charge nurse, Nursing Resource Coordinator)BSN required, either at time of hire/transfer, or must be enrolled in a program within one year of hire/transfer date and completed within three years of enrollment.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Act 34
  • OAPSA
