UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Non-Invasive Cardiology Physician UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services

Join a well-established and growing team of cardiologists in a financially strong and thriving world-class health system. UPMC Altoona is seeking a board certified/board eligible non-invasive cardiologist.

ARHS Blair Medical Associates Cardiology Department is comprised of 5 cardiologists (2 interventionalists, 1 non-invasive cardiologist, 2 electrophysiologists and 1 heart failure specialist) with PA and NP support, providing services in 4 locations. Our team also includes vascular and cardio-thoracic surgeons. The cath labs, located in the hospital, served over 3,000 patients in 2019. TAVR and Watchman procedures were added in 2019; the team performed their 1000th Watchman in August 2022.

Primarily an outpatient practice in a spacious medical mall located 1-1/2 miles from the hospital. The clinic has a solid patient based that served over 1500 patients in 2019. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Call schedule will be 1:4. Physician will work primarily in Altoona with some scheduled days in Bedford.

Our competitive compensation and benefits package includes an initial income guarantee, sign-on bonus, relocation, annual CME allowance, PTO, occurrence-based malpractice insurance, employer-funded retirement plan, paid health/dental/vision insurance, and life/disability insurance.
