UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. Clinical Educator, Behavioral Health - resolve Crisis Services

Description

Resolve Crisis Services has been Allegheny County’s premiere crisis program since 2008.  With expansion program in mobile and other departments, we are looking for highly skilled caring professionals to join our team!


As a Clinical Educator you will plan, coordinate, supervise and implement educational activities related to a range of behavioral health and substance use disorder needs across the lifespan. Identify needs for educational programs for teachers, mental health and substance use disorder professionals, social service and private sector professionals, health and medical workers, and lay people. Utilize evidence-based prevention and training curricula, as well as vetted information related to referrals and resources, as well as procedures, including local providers and workflows and implementation of the Mental Health Procedures Act. Promote continuing education to an array of professionals. Additional duties include provision of clinical services within the Crisis Services program.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify needs for educational programs for teachers, mental health and substance use disorder professionals, social service and private sector professionals, health and medical workers, local, regional, and state regulatory bodies, as well as lay people.
  • Utilize evidence-based prevention and training curricula, as well as vetted information related to referrals and resources, as well as procedures, including local providers and workflows and implementation of the Mental Health Procedures Act.
  • Obtain continuing education approval for trainings and adhere to all requirements.
  • Participate in and coordinate coalitions and conferences for the region and the state.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement behavioral health and substance use disorder-related education and prevention programs for populations across the lifespan.
  • Track and interpret outcomes from training to make improvements and meet identified needs.
  • Provision of clinical services within the Behavioral Health program, as well as assistance with training and mentorship needs within Behavioral Health programming.

 

Qualifications

  • Master's level professional with a degree in human service field required.
  • Three years of experience in teaching, treatment or related prevention field required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state behavioral health and addiction procedures and prevention programs is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
License preferred Experience with completion and maintenance of `trained trainer? in behavioral health courses preferred

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
