The UPMC IT Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is hiring 2 full-time Project Managers to manage/support project work across our UPMC IT environment. The selected candidates will work with, and learn from, our group of experienced and professional project managers to manage large, complex, and/or cross-functional projects across our UPMC IT environment. Our EPMO utilizes best practices and standard tools, templates, and processes to manage and deliver successful IT projects. These opportunities are FULLY REMOTE and are based out of the US Steel Building downtown so the option to work in office is available as well.
Description
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors, consultants, and partners in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership/Development: Ability to organize, manage, and lead the project team to success. Supports project team members and colleagues. Builds strong relationships with colleagues and IT partners. Skillfully handles situations and creates positive outcomes. Demonstrates self-awareness. Provides mentoring and support to others in areas of expertise.
- Relevant Technical/Business Knowledge: Experience in a similar technical/industry. Demonstrates financial awareness. Working knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques and tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including summaries, presentations, and executive reports.
- Process Oriented: Utilizes organizational and PMO processes and standards to provide consistent and excellent project management services. Understands the need and value to continually define and/or improve processes.
- Project Planning and Management: Experienced in planning and managing project scope, schedules, resources, budget, issues, and risks. Understands need and value of attention to detail. Proactively identifies and addresses project risks. Utilizes change management to control scope and communicate scope changes. Tracks and reports project progress, and forecast trends.
- Client Relationships: Understands project objectives, and business value, from the user's point of view. Is customer focused. Builds trusted relationships with users.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with 2+ years professional experience in a project implementation capacity.
- Strongly prefer between 2-5 years of previous work experience in project management.
- OR High school diploma and 6+ years of professional experience in a project implementation capacity.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PMP certification preferred
