UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Pathology Coordinator to support the Molecular & Genomic Pathology Lab! This role will be scheduled daylight shifts, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain records of administrative divisional responsibilities (e.g, staff meeting minutes, lab administrative meetings with pathologists, travel accommodations, director's calendar).
- Assist to coordinate clinical care activities by coordinating the flow of information from physicians and patients at outside institutions to the central divisional core.
- Prepare faculty master schedules and organize divisional schedules for faculty and house officers (e.g. service schedules, on-call schedules, conference schedules, director's personal schedule).
- Prepare annual reports related to divisional activities and workloads.
- Work with other divisional office support as necessary to perform mission of the division.
- Assist to coordinate and implement various clinical research projects and groups in order to meet division goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate, on a consistent basis, the behaviors which do not comprise the Basics of Service Excellence.
- Assist to coordinate various educational initiatives of the division (e.g. curriculum development, continuing education courses, training & educational needs of visiting physicians and researchers).
- Assist with completion of regulatory requirements for out-of-state laboratory and physician licenses.
- Coordinate institutional contracts in line with UPMC strategic plans.
- Summarize data and draft documents.
- Coordinate and assemble research projects.
- Actively track projects and independently give updates to teams.
- Schedule and organize complex activities such as off-site meetings, travel itineraries, speaking engagements, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences or equivalent degree OR 3 - 5 years of administrative experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work strategically in a team environment with all levels of professional, technical and administrative staff.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment – clinical research would be helpful.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with internal UPMC teams and lead projects with external teams. Ability to articulate well.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, analytical skills and data analysis experience.
- Team player, both flexible and adaptable to changes, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of accountability.
- Familiarity with medical licensing, insurance regulations, and business environments is preferable but not required.
