Description

Our UPMC International Human Resources team is excited to add a Senior International Recruiter to the team! This is a regular, full-time position that works EST daylight hours, Monday through Friday, remotely.

In this role, the Senior International Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting nurses throughout Poland, Italy, Ireland, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico and Guatemala. They'll assist and lead the development, implementation, and management of recruiting strategies, including recruitment areas of high need and hard to fill positions. Create, develop, and manage diverse proactive pipelines of recruitment talent through strategic sourcing and networking. Work with operational, clinical, and business unit HR staff to understand their needs and to assist them in interviewing and hiring of qualified candidates. Act as an internal recruitment solution for the organization, for hard to fill positions.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze market trends, competition and collaborate with Executive Leaders and HR about sources and strategies to attract applicants for high need areas. Identify and analyze turnover trends. Identify high need and difficult to fill positions. Utilize a variety of sourcing tools to attract an international pool of candidates.
  • Assist with training for interview skills, sourcing and tracking candidates when needed. Research new and creative cost-effective candidate sources internationally for niche areas. Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and work on special projects as requested. Advise on and coordinate targeted recruitment events. Function as an internal search firm recruiter by performing specific global recruitment searches as necessary.
  • Deliver the best candidate experience and highest quality of customer satisfaction. Create detailed interview itineraries for both the candidate and leadership team involved in the interview process. Develop and initiate effective and innovative global recruitment sources and initiatives for attracting and retaining the best-qualified candidates.
  • Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description. Identify and implement global diversity recruitment initiatives to bring in diverse talent into our roles. Develop the appropriate relationships with international schools, members of professional global organizations and global community members to develop international talent channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee and candidate contracts and global mobility processes including Non-Competes, Employment Agreements, Retention bonuses, visa processing, etc. Responsible for creating and negotiating complex offers. Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities. Manage relationships of all Search Firm Vendors and help to set goals and expectations. Consistently meet with vendors to collect recruitment data through their sourcing efforts. Monitor and track annual spend on outside vendor support.
  • Network with global professionals to find additional applicants. Proactively build and create global candidate pipelines; track individuals with hard-to-find skill sets to network for future opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required and three years of recruitment experience required. Previous global recruitment experience preferred. OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of recruitment experience required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking a second language (aside from English) is required. Second language required includes Portuguese, Italian, Korean or Spanish. 
  • Knowledge of the health care field preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking or HRIS systems required.
  • Experience designing and implementing models to find applicants for hard to fill positions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
