Description

Are you an experienced Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? The Emergency Department at UPMC Western Maryland is looking for a Full-Time RN to serve as the Domestic Violence Project Coordinator.


As the Domestic Violence Project Coordinator, you will coordinate the Domestic Violence, SAFE Nurse Program and Lethality Assessment Program for UPMC Western Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds productive rapport with directors, supervisors, and employees.
  • Fosters a positive work relationship.
  • Communicates appropriate information with other according to established procedures so that day-to-dayoperations are effectively conducted.
  • Clearly demonstrates a desire for a high level of satisfaction among customers.
  • Communicates regularly with existing customers and makes it clear that customers can initiate conversations about concerns or issues.
  • Accurately assesses the level of customers satisfaction through both confidential surveys and ongoing dialogue.
  • Commits to continuous lifelong learning for self and others.
  • Possesses the technical skills and systems knowledge required to perform essential tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to train or coach others in his/her area of technical expertise.
  • Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.

 

Qualifications

  • Associates in Nursing required.
  • Minimum five years clinical experience in direct patient care in emergency nursing or acute care.
  • Experience in the care and treatment of domestic violence or sexual assault patients.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and data collection.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Certification is required, but will provide training if necessary.
  • Certification as a Pediatric and Adult Forensic Nurse Examiner or must obtain within a timeframe determinedby the appropriate Administrative Officer.
