Across UPMC, our guiding principle is to always prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and members. UPMC believes that vaccination is important, helps protect all, and advocates that everyone who can be vaccinated should be vaccinated.

UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Workforce Management Associate

Description

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Workforce Management Associate. This role will predominantly work remotely, Monday through Friday, standard daylight hours. 

This Workforce Management Associate is responsible for balancing call volume for Customer Service. They will support Workforce Manager and all Customer Service Leadership to maximize performance of all Customer Service Representatives.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Workforce Management Team and exceed department goals
  • Recommend staffing needs to exceed service levels
  • Performs in accordance with system wide competencies/ behaviors
  • Support call center initiatives via reporting and communication
  • Manage phone volume for multiple lines of business, including overflow and priority setting to exceed service level
  • Ensure optimum labor and performance levels are maintained with call volume
  • Identify area where training is required
  • Participate in training programs as available/requested.
  • Openly participate in team meetings, provide ideas and suggestions to ensure client satisfaction, and promote teamwork.
  • Assist other departments during periods of backlogs.
  • Work error reports and provide feedback to staff
     

 

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • 3 years of customer service experience required
  • Workforce experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain designated production and quality standards.
  • Ability to problem solve in fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal , and communication skills.
  • MS Office /PC skills Excel and Word.
