Description
Purpose:
Focuses on customer service through establishing and maintaining relationships with clients. Ensure services are delivered within established timeframes, problem solving and communicating regularly with the client. Knowledgeable of occupational health industry standards and maintains industry certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Represents the organization as a liaison between the practice and our clients.
- Communicates with clients and maintains high customer satisfaction. .
- Ability to perform both front and back office functions such as appointment scheduling, collect payments, balance cash drawer, comprehensive charge capture and provide patient care.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and documented according to established protocols and industry standards.
- Participates in the delivery of occupational health events and performs onsite services such as vaccinations, audio and vision screenings.
- Obtains vital signs and chief complaints.
- Completes thorough nursing assessment.
- Assists provider as needed with examinations, procedures, specimen collection and immunization administration.
- Accurately enters data into the DOT and Non-DOT Consortium system.
- Notifies companies of random pulls, no-shows and presents the Medical Review Officer with appropriate information related to drug screen results.
- Performs drug and alcohol collection in accordance with established regulations and protocols.
- Ensure that services are delivered with the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance and within a timely manner. Maintains staff competencies and industry certifications (DATIA, Audio, etc.)
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or equivalent medical experience.
- Medical Assistant Certification or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred
- BLS required
- Occupational Health experience preferred.
