Description

Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating annual giving programs within the Northwest Hospital Foundation, including but not limited to the Grateful Patient Program, the annual employee campaign, and all direct mail appeals, email, and social media development programs. This position is responsible for maintaining the donor database and supporting outreach efforts that relate to fundraising. Also supports operations by maintaining office systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate filing systems with the highest regard for confidentiality, organization, and timely retrieval of documents.On appointment, serve as Assistant Secretary where the duties and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to knowledge of the Bylaws of the Corporation; organize and plan board/committee meetings; prepare related materials for distribution; attend meetings and maintain official minute books.Prepare appeal letters. Assist with the creation and content for the Foundation online newsletter and website and social media content. Coordinate annual giving campaigns including planning, mailings, written materials, and employee campaigns.
  • Maintain the donor database including moves management and action tracks. Generate reports on fundraising to ensure consistent data collection that reflects relationship and gift proposal activity, stages, and engagement. Maintain and update fundraising/donor tracking database which includes confidential donor/financial information, enters and accurately records donors' gift as well as updating mailing lists. Process of charitable donations. Coordinates and manages special projects, mailings, donor reports, and other fundraising initiatives as appropriate/required.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, journalism, business, or related field
  • Demonstrated skills in Raisers Edge or other fundraising donor database preferred. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work positively with many different constituencies such as donors, volunteers, trustees and staff 
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy 
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to fulfill goals of the department
  • High level of enthusiasm, initiative, motivation, and self-direction 

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in development, communications, business, data management or related field
  • Experience with development and/or fundraising in a healthcare, education or community non-profit setting
  • Ability to present a professional image of the Foundation and articulate the mission and Philanthropy Philosophy
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
