*Operates under Local 95 Union*
This position will occasionally travel to Passavant Cranberry location
Maintain grounds, trim hedges, place mulch in beds, plant trees, shrubs and water gardens. Operate tractors, trimmers, weed wackers also supervise summer ground's help.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee snow removal operation and contractor response.
- Demonstrate teamwork with outside garden clubs and Hospital foundation in maintaining the beautification programs.
- Oversee summer grounds crew and assign specific daily tasks.
- Attend relevant seminars to improve and maintain effectiveness of the position.
- Promote patient safety.
- Establish work schedules for routine and special assignments for the landscaping of the campus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in Horticulture or similar field preferred.
- Supervisory training/experience required.
- 5 years experience in a landscaping field preferred..
- May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored.
- No contact with medications is allowed.
