Look no further – UPMC Travel Staffing is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to help support our team! In this role, you will preform all scheduling related functions for our 800 travel RNs & surgical technologists. You will assist with fulfilling requests for supplemental nursing support and create schedules that align with the needs throughout UPMC’s hospital system. You will also aid our travel staff employees by providing support during the Onboarding process.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule department employees as requested by customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Enforce department and UPMC Nursing policies and procedures.
  • Alert HR consultant and/or managers of any performance issues and policy infractions related to department employees.
  • Keep department manager informed of nursing activity/trends within UPMC's facilities as it relates to filling nursing staff requests.
  • Work with managers to fill long-term supplemental staffing needs.
  • Instruct and inform department employees about new policy and process updates and/or changes
  • Manage phone and e-mail conversations in an organized manner.
  • Conduct all scheduling interactions to fill supplemental nursing request orders and document appropriately within vendor management systems.
  • Manage schedules and determines availability of department employees to best match with available assignments.
  • Data enter new department employees into Vendor Management System.
  • Ensure department employees have appropriate credentials and are compliant with regulatory standards prior to placement in any assignments.
  • Establish business relationships with UPMC facility contacts (AOD's, UD's, and schedulers) to best understand facility needs and ensures staffing support when requested.
  • Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required. College degree is preferred.
  • One year of experience within a customer service and/or healthcare environment is required.
  • Experience within a healthcare/patient setting is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge is required – including knowledge and proficiency within Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, Outlook).
