Description
Responsibilities of the Electrician:
- Accountable for the safe operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems and equipment including generators, fire alarm, overhead paging system and nurse call.
- The Electrician will inspect and test lighting, signal communication, control and power circuits and equipment.
- Install new wiring and electrical machinery.
- Isolate and repair/replace defective wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment.
- Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
- Operate and maintain switchgear and electrical machinery.
- Perform all work following infection control procedures.
- Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis.
- Repair and/or install conduit, fittings, motors, generators transformers, electrical wiring and a variety of appliances and hospital equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Trade school or trade specific multi-discipline certificate required.
- Military experience considered.
- 2 years experience as an Electrician working in a healthcare or commercial building environment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
Driver's License
- Driver's License
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
