Description
Chidren's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring an Equipment Aide, in accordance with established procedures and policies, who will establish and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. The Equipment Aide monitors all supplies and equipment, and facilitates maintenance in an assigned area.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate record keeping and quality checks of equipment.
- Identify needed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of unit specific equipment/environment according to procedures. Enter online requests for repairs to facilities and keep accurate records of maintenance performed.
- Assist with assigned quality monitoring including, but not limited to, maintaining refrigerator and temperature logs and point of care testing. Notify appropriate personnel when respective quality indicators are out of normal range.
- Order unit specific supplies/equipment and ensures that adequate amounts are available on the unit.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or one year previous job experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED.
- Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete Equipment Aid duties and the ability to use Equipment Aid equipment.
- Prior job experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewalAct 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
