ARGO Neuroscience of Aging has several on-going research studies focused on depression and anxiety. This particular study is looking at providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) on adults with depression. The employee will be conducting telephone screens to see if potential participants meet preliminary eligibility. In addition, employee will conduct MRI clearances to ensure that participants can safely complete the MRI. They will accompany participant to the MRI scan and collect all relevant data. Employee will also conduct study visits and administer assessments. In addition, the employee will administer TMS sessions on a daily basis throughout the course of treatment for the participant. The employee will also be included in the on-call rotation where they just have to have access to answer a cell phone after hours.
The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day with a flexible start time between 7AM and 9AM. Flexibility in schedule will be required at times to make adjustments based on participant’s availability and scanner availability. This includes the opportunity to work remotely if schedule permits. Hours will need to be shifted to a mid-shift schedule is a participant is only available for TMS sessions in the evening. On these days, the schedule will need to be 11AM-7PM at the latest.
This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain research records and data including responsibility for communications via mail or fax with project sponsor, all regulatory agencies, and principal investigators.
- Reimburse subjects for study participation
- Attend educational seminars to advance knowledge in research coordination.
- Responsible for project documentation and audit-related activities.
- Recruit participants, conduct study visits and follows subjects through study completion.
- Assist with laboratory packing and shipping.
- Maintain compliance with IRB regulations.
- Coordinate all supplies, forms and records with project sponsor and regulatory agencies.
- Develop system for tracking recruitment efforts and communication with subjects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology or related research field.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- MRI and/or TMS prior experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
- Act 34
