Description
UPMC Williamsport is seeking a casual van driver to work as needed during days with high volumes, vacations and/or call offs. This role will work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7a - 5p.
The successful candidate will have experience with larger vehicles/vans preferred. Good communication skills and people skills are required.
Purpose:
Provides safe and efficient transportation for residents/patients. Transports medical-related supplies or records to designated facilities or physician offices. Participates in daily vehicle checks and assists in keeping transport vehicles in good operating condition.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients to and from residence and into and out of the van; assure the patient is comfortable and properly secured with a seatbelt.
- Schedule patients for transportation services; provide transportation.
- Call 911 and provide first aid or CPR if necessary should the patient become unstable during transport.
- Perform and document daily vehicle checks, reporting maintenance issues. Add fluids as necessary.
- Obtain patient information pertinent to the patient, including any anticipated problems that may be encountered during transport. Promptly report any problems with patients during transport.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Three years driving experience required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License required.

- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
