Hillman Cancer Center is looking to add a RN at their Camp Hill location. This position will have an anticipated move to Mechanicsburg in the future date TBD. This is a fantastic team committed to excellence in patient care. The medical oncology clinic has an on-site lab and infusion center. We value a shared governance model of Relationship Based Care in relating with our team and our patients.
HOURS: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm alternating with 8:00am-4:30pm as needed
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood/labwork
- Perform the infusion therapy as directed by physician orders (immunotherapy, chemotherapy, electrolytes, IV therapy, injections, antibiotics · Establish intravenous access per policy
- Assess, observe, and document patient symptoms
- Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of reactions
- Educate patients and/or caregivers on the disease process, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, and intravenous access · Triage of patient calls and follow up on chemotherapy

Staff is engaging in the shared governance program for relationship based care to focus on healthy work environment, also focused on the team and quality patient care and experience.
- Coordination of referrals and care
- Assist with screening as needed
- Track safety and compliance to treatments and diagnostic testing
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience.
- BSN required.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.
- Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.
- Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
UPMC approved national certification preferred. Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
