Description
Purpose:
The STAT MedEvac Aviation Department Pilot in Command is directly responsible for, and is the final authority over the safe operation of an assigned aircraft on a CEM released flight. The Pilot in Command will assure all flight activities adhere to the Federal Aviation Regulations as well as CEM policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with flight follower with regard to duty time, aircraft and weather status.
- Ensure aircraft is in airworthy condition.
- Conduct on demand flights in a manner that the safe completion is never in doubt.
- Maintain a current flight kit with the aircraft that is appropriate for flight accepted.
Qualifications
- FAA Instrument rating-rotorcraft.
- Thorough knowledge of Part 135 Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Two year degree or equivalent experience.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Act 34
