We're searching for a University Relations Specialist to join our team! This is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some remote work flexibility!
In this role, the University Relations Specialist will focus on and be held accountable to goals for assisting the recruitment team with building meaningful and collaborative relationships with key partners on college and university campuses. They'll engage with students in order to build strong talent pipelines leading to increased market capture at top target schools. Additionally, they will either lead ownership of the system-wide event process or the virtual engagement book of business and will provide a top-notch candidate and programmatic experience.

Responsibilities:
- Ownership of system-wide nursing event process and tracking -OR- virtual engagement book of business.
- Assist UR Recruiter/Sr. Recruiter with student interactions and events, reporting needs, programmatic and recruitment tasks, and candidate organization and tracking.
- Act as a resource for students exploring opportunities and seeking guidance on resume best practices, submitting applications, interviewing, etc. while, ultimately, providing a top-notch candidate experience.
- Facilitate job posting process within applicant tracking system and on school/university posting sites.
- Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description within team goal timeframes.
- Conduct employment screening interviews for applicants within team goal timeframes.
- Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
- Execute program management with an innovative mindset and deliver a top-notch program experience.
- Compile and analyze data/reports. Consistently review processes, look for and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in human resources operations actively handling recruitment
- OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required with a preference of one year of human resources operations actively handling recruitment
- OR Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associates Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required.
- Prior recruitment experience, internship experience, or campus experience is preferred.
