Description
The Sr. Project Manager, Telemedicine will successfully strategize and generate ideas around telemedicine projects that effectively enhance the provider and patient telemedicine experience.
Additionally, acts as the practice manager of the UPMC Children’s AWC program by overseeing all operational aspects of this virtual practice to ensure quality patient care. This requires the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring the virtual program chat to ensure appropriate provider staffing, adequate waiting room times, proper resolution of technical issues and patient satisfaction
- Monitor practice operations to identify areas for improvement, expansion of services and potential use cases
- Acts as a liaison between other departments, UPMC Health Plan, and Children’s AWC team
- Onboard new providers and attend meetings with the Health Plan Member Service team
Responsibilities:
- Consider innovative ways to implement and project manage existing telemedicine solutions within UPMC departments and facilities
- Lead telemedicine projects that provide system level support in addition to projects that offer department/facility specific support
- Lead meetings and projects associated with unprecedented telemedicine use case and identify process and technology solutions that fulfill UPMC goals
- Work on projects that involve and meet the needs of UPMC Executives
- Collaborate with ISD telemedicine, credentialing, legal, finance and other key partnering departments to ensure telemedicine projects are meeting the goals of UPMC
- Mentor and guide Project Managers on the telemedicine team
- Appropriately identify and act on urgent issues
- Provide a thoughtful, professional, and friendly customer experience to all stakeholders involved in use case implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4 - 5 years of business experience, preferably with an academic health center
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and manage multiple projects/priorities across multiple locations
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Thorough knowledge and use of various PC applications as follows: PowerPoint, Excel applications, database applications, process flow diagramming applications, electronic mail, word processing and the overall ability to learn and use new systems
- Clinical operations experience preferred
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- PMP certification preferred
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
